You will be an experienced SQL DBA (ideally with ASP.NET, C# and javascript – desirable not essential), looking to make their mark at Hardware Group.  You will be working on an established technology stack that is vital to the running of our business and our customers as well as developing new projects.  You will be responsible for the smooth running of the MS SQL deployment (including reporting and integration services), provision and integration of systems with 3rd parties.

A typical day as a SQL Data Base Administrator:

  • You will be responsible for SQL server, data architecture and integration
  • Monitor, manage, optimise and measure SQL server implementation
  • Reviewing, designing and implementing system architectures for development projects
  • Motivate, mentor and provide peer reviews of other team members
  • Maintain group SSIS packages (deployment, upgrading, 3rd party integration)
  • Responsible for the SSRS environment and the data security model across the group
  • Work on exciting and innotvative software projects to create systems used by our customers
  • Implement & maintain database recovery methods (mirroring, replication, disaster recovery) for Business continuity planning
  • Responsible for the integration & synchronisation of internal systems within CRM & ERP environments
  • Make your mark working on system improvement projects that enhance the customer experience
  • Collaborating with the other members of  the  business applications and development team on the provision of a world class business applications stack

 Must haves:

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2008R2 up to 2012R2 including IIS7 & 8
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2
  • SSIS & SSRS
