Reporting into the Group Credit Manager you will be responsible for a wide range of finance processes including supplier and client invoicing, credit control, assisting with management accounts preparation, accounts system update and maintenance, report writing and other key finance tasks!

A typical day:

  • Inputting Supplier Overhead and Stock Invoices onto the ERP system
  • Ensure correct authorisations and cost centres have been obtained and recorded for supplier documents
  • Processing Sales Ledger documentation
  • Inputting employee expense claims
  • Processing credit card payments to suppliers ensuring correct and appropriate authorisations have been obtained
  • Inputting authorised supplier payments onto the ERP system ensuring correct allocation to supplier documentation
  • Liaising effectively with internal and external customers relevant to maintaining accurate account details
  • Assisting with preparing reports and monthly & annual statistics
  • Inputting and Allocation of Group cash to the ‘Accounts receivable’
  • Dealing with incoming and outgoing post
  • General Administrative duties

Must have’s

  • Enthusiastic , self-motivated and determined to make a difference
  • Essential: experience in Microsoft office applications (Excel/Word/Outlook)
  • Essential: minimum of Grade C in Maths and English GCSE
  • Attention to detail and desire for accuracy
  • Confident, articulate, willingness to learn
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Appreciation for the need of confidentiality
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Ability to work on own initiative or work as part of a team

Apprenticeship

  • As part of your 12 month fixed term contract, you will be expected to complete an Accountancy apprenticeship with AAT Level 2 which will be delivered by our Apprenticeship Partner. For more information on the qualification, please follow the link: aat.org.uk
